The other day I overheard a so-called LinkedIn expert say something and it was a major red flag 🚩
I was at one of my events and I heard them say:
“Commenting on posts is a waste of time.”
Excuse me?
That’s like saying talking to people at a networking event is pointless.
Like showing up and standing silently in the corner. Good luck with that.
Here’s the truth:
Commenting is networking 🔚
It’s visibility.
It’s relationship-building.
It’s respect.
You don’t grow on LinkedIn by posting and ghosting… 👻
You grow by showing up. Commenting. And adding value with what you’ve got to say.
I’ve built real connections. Real opportunities. Just by being active in comments.
No pitches. No BS. Just showing up consistently with purpose.
So yeah, comment. Often. Meaningfully. Strategically.
Because lurking gets you nowhere.
Engagement is the game.
Do you agree? Disagree? Let’s hear it. Drop your thoughts below on commenting. Is it really a waste of time? 👇🏼
